Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago say they remain committed to a process of open communication on matters related to the Eastern Caribbean flying fish stock.
This follows a joint communique issued after senior Government officials from both countries met virtually on November 2.
The Barbados delegation was led by Barbados’ Ambassador to CARICOM, David Comissiong.
Officials say the talks were cordial and productive, with the two sides exchanging views on a number of significant issues.
The two countries also indicated their desire to enter negotiations towards the conclusion of a new fishing agreement in the future.
