Barbados’ new Permanent Representative to OAS presents credentials

Barbados’ Permanent Representative to the Organisation of American States (OAS) Vic Fernandes, presented his credentials to Secretary General Luis Almagro in a ceremony at the Organisation’s headquarters in Washington, DC.

In his address Ambassador Fernandes highlighted Barbados’ firm commitment to upholding the principles on which the OAS was founded.

He says they must address the development agenda with vigour and committment.

Ambassador Fernandes has served as Chairman of the Barbados National Oil Company, the Barbados National Oil Terminal and the Barbados Tourism Investment Corporation as well as Director of the National Petroleum Corporation and the Bayview Hospital, among other positions.
