Barbados is among several countries impacted by a global tech outage.
Severe computer disruptions have been reported worldwide, affecting businesses, government services, flights and much more.
The global outage was caused by a problematic update of CrowdStrike Antivirus Technology, released to computers running Microsoft Windows.
Crowdstrike says the issue has been identified, and isolated and a fix has been deployed.
Despite the company stating the incident was not a security incident or cyberattack, local cyber security expert, Edward Millington says the global outage is one of concern.
Mr. Millington cautioned that with such incidents there are adversaries looking to take advantage.
