Barbadians are being urged to be conscious of their energy usage this festive season.
The advice from Manager of Communications and Government Relations with the Barbados Light and Power Company Limited Jackie Marshall-Clarke.
She was speaking to members of the media as the BL&P held its Corporate Day, as part of its 12 Days of Giving initiative.
Under the theme ‘Brighten Your Christmas’, workers armed with gifts made stops at a number of schools and families, to spread some Christmas cheer.
Ms. Marshall-Clarke says the initiative could become an annual event.
The 64 students of the Sunshine Early Stimulation Centre and the John Payne School for Exceptional Children were each presented with a gift.
Principal Natasha Lowe said the school, which caters to children with special needs such as autism and Down syndrome, was indeed grateful.
