While Barbadians are being urged to stay hydrated as the country experiences very hot days, they are also being warned to be mindful of what and how they drink.
President of the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners, Dr. Lynda Williams, is advising people to take frequent sips rather than consuming large volumes of water at once.
In addition to water, Dr. Williams recommends using sports drinks, as she explains the body loses water and salt when a person sweats profusely.
