COVID-19 continues to claim lives in Barbados, and the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners (BAMP) says the latest dashboard is a wake-up call.
10 people died over the past two weeks as a result of the virus and in that time 419 new cases were also recorded out of the 1,301 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Laboratory.
7 of the victims have been hospitalised.
To date, 606 people have died in Barbados as a result of COVID-19.
President of BAMP, Dr. Lynda Williams is reminding Barbadians COVID-19 hasn’t gone away and those that are vulnerable must be protected.
Dr. Williams was a guest on CBC TV8’s Morning Report.
She also says cases of long COVID are on the rise.
