It was another evening and night of terror for homeless people in Bridgetown, particularly those around the old Treasury Building.
CBC News understands those who occupy the area were subjected to a fresh set of attacks last night, Sunday, July 30, 2023. That came just hours after reports of attacks on more homeless individuals in several city areas during the wee hours of Sunday morning, were brought to national attention. Some of them recounted their latest experience for CBC News which we will bring in subsequent newscasts.
Meanwhile, the Barbados Alliance to End Homelessness has issued a statement condemning the recent attacks.
That agency hosted a press conference on the matter today.
