Arts, craft and culture were centre stage in Golden Square Freedom Park this morning for the first Bridgetown Market Pop Up for this Crop Over season.
Hosted and organised by the National Cultural Foundation, it featured live demonstrations by artisans, traditional games and a showcase of variety products by local entrepreneurs.
Chief Business Development Officer, Andre Hoyte says there were two additional satellite stations throughout the city as well as visits from traditional characters at the markets.
He spoke to CBC News about the rationale behind the event.
Visitors and entrepreneurs alike are in support of the pop up concept.
