The Barbados Police Service Criminal Investigations Department has charged a 16-year-old boy for the recent murder of 17-year-old Takori Wilkinson.
He is Kimani Kyori Straker, of Martins Road, Pinelands, Saint Michael, who is facing the charge of “Murder – of Takori Wilkinson” on August 20, 2024.
Straker is scheduled to appear before Magistrate Allison Burke in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court today, Thursday, August 22, 2024.
Wilkinson succumbed to gunshot injuries on August 20, after being shot on August 13.
The Service noted in a press release issued on August 20 that, “on Tuesday 13th August 2024, police from the District ‘A’ Police Station responded to Meadow Road, Wildey Road, St. Michael, where there was an initial report of a man being shot at that location.
“On arrival of the police, they learnt that the victim at the time, was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private motor car and was a patient there in critical condition for the past week. He subsequently died.”
