16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence

The call has been made for all forms of gender-based violence to be eradicated from Barbadian society.

That appeal from Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Cynthia Forde, during the campaign launch of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence, as International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women was observed.

Programme Specialist with UN Women, Isuiwa Iyahen says the shadow pandemic of gender violence has intensified since the emergence of COVID-19, especially in domestic partner relationships.
