It is being projected that one hundred thousand tonnes of cane will be produced this year.
This announcement from Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security Indar Weir, who tells CBC News the 2025 Sugar Cane Harvest is set to begin tomorrow.
Mr. Weir says there will be no changes to the teams involved in the overall sugarcane harvest process.
