CMC – Another girls’ dormitory in Guyana was destroyed by fire on Thursday.
According to police reports, early Thursday, shortly before 3:00 a.m. (local time), a blaze destroyed another dormitory, this time in Karasabai, Rupununi, in Region 9, in the south of Guyana but so far there are no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
This incident follows last month’s tragedy in which a fire at the Mahdia Secondary School’s female dormitory killed 20 students.
A 15-year-old student has been charged with murder during the course of arson.
