The assertion from President of the International Federation of Accountants, Asmaa Resmouki, as she addressed the 41st Annual Conference of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of the Caribbean.
Discussing the topic ‘Towards the Future: A Global Perspective’, she said it should be a priority for decision-makers in both the public and private sectors.
Ms. Resmouki said the transition to accrual accounting never happens in isolation as it requires strong leadership and political will.
