Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs and Member of Parliament for St. Michael South, Kirk Humphrey, wants more private sector entities to give back to the community, just as Packaging Centre continues to do.
Management of the company donated some equipment and an undisclosed sum of money to constituent Kareen McCollin whose roof was damaged following the passing of Hurricane Beryl.
Mr. Humphrey was speaking at his constituency office at Villa Road, Brittons Hill, St. Michael.
Sales and Marketing Manager Matthew Choo says this is their way of giving back to the country.
Additionally, Warehouse Manager Simon Choo says he and Vivian Fagan got together to offer support after Ms. McCollin’s plight became known.
And Ms. McCollin recounts the experience, which she described as frightening.
She says she and her children were together when the roof in the front house blew off.
