Barbados walked away with five medals including one gold, two silver and two bronze to finish third overall in the just concluded World Archery Barbados - a segment of the BOA's independence invitational games.
Held at Codrington College in St John, Purusha Maynard copped the lone gold medal for Barbados in the recurve women event, which also saw compatriot Martha Padmore taking bronze.
Celeste Nurse finished second in the compound women to claim her first silver, missing out on gold after losing to Sandrine Berlin of Martinique.
Then she paired up with David Foster in the compound mixed team as the two missed out on gold to the pair of Berlin and Fabien Clombe of Martinique.
In the compound men, Foster did well to claim his second medal - a bronze - losing out to Martinique's Clombe and Allan Virgile who took the gold and silver respectively.
