If the Rural Development Commission is to continue granting loans, then people with existing loans must repay them.
Acting director, Gregory Hinds, says the RDC has a mandate to make sure residents in rural communities are productive.
He says the Commission is working with debtors who may be finding it hard to make payments under the original loan agreements.
Mr. Hinds was speaking during the soft launch of the RDC's re-branded loans programme, during the Caribbean Week of Agriculture 2018.
The RDC has offered some 1500 loans over the last 20 years.
Senior field officer, Osmond Harewood, says in addition to funding, the RDC also provides training to ensure businesses are running efficiently.
