Minister of Maritime Affairs and the Blue Economy Kirk Humphrey expects some of the best thinkers and most brilliant ideas will come out of the economic challenges facing the country.

Mr. Humphrey who's also the MP for St Michael South, was speaking during the launch of the Dalkeith Woods neighbourhood watch Sunday evening.

The ceremony saw members of the new committee being inducted.

Mr. Humphrey told the residents they must try to help Barbados at this time.

President of the committee Elizabeth Turpin says residents have expressed several concerns over the past year, regarding fire procedures, maintenance and security.

As it relates to the latter, she says they want to press the Ministry of Housing for an electronic gate and cameras along with other measures.
