Training seminar on noise enforcement

Training seminar on noise enforcement
18 Jul

Government will be making moves once again to implement noise pollution legislation.

Steps were made to do so back in 2007 with the creation of a National Noise Policy, but Environment Minister Trevor Prescod says it became stagnant under the DLP administration.

Speaking at the Environmental Protection Department's training seminar on community noise enforcement, he stressed that the legislation will not include unreasonable measures.

Course facilitator, Eric Zwerling is confident the participants will have the required skills to enforce a noise code after completing the workshop.
