The 24th edition of the Goodwill Swim Meet will be held over the weekend right here in Barbados at the Aquatic Centre.
The meet which is the only short course swim competition in the region, will see some eight countries from around the Caribbean competing across five age groups.
President of the Barbados Amateur Swimming Association, Tony Selby, says this year the Barbados team is strong and he expects them to do really well at challenging for one of the top three spots.
The team will be led by Ashley Weeks and Keon Jessamy.
Both of them say the team is ready, and home advantage will motivate them even more to stand on top of the podium.
The meet will get started on Friday evening beginning with the opening ceremony at 5 pm.
The other two days will begin at 9 am and will run until the afternoon.
All races will be time finals.
