The ongoing sewage problem on the south coast has caught the attention of Germany.
That country is the latest to warn its citizens and urge travellers to avoid the area.
The information is contained in a travel advisory for Barbados posted at the beginning of March.
CBC News reached out to the German Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago and was told they are monitoring developments on the south coast.
If possible, depending on how the situation is handled, the advisory will be dropped.
Recently the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom issued advisories also cautioning their citizens.
