House of Soca Calypso tent has taken its preparation for Crop Over 2018 into high gear.
Coming off of having two finalists and seven semi-finalists in last year's Pic-o-De-Crop competition, the tent teamed up with one of its sponsors - the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity for a three hour seminar.
Executive Director of BIMAP Dr. Sonia Greenidge-Franklyn gave the welcome address before tutor Marquita Phillips facilitated the seminar which focused on marketing.
Tent manager Sharon Carew says her large cast this year is a perfect mixture of all genres including Calypso, Soca and Bashment Soca from both juniors and seniors.
She says this year House of Soca will keep patrons on their feet,
and 2018 patrons have a chance on each of the six tent nights to be a 'Spon-star'.
