Negotiations with the various unions in Barbados will start in earnest from as early as Friday once the Barbados Labour Party is elected to government.

This assurance from BLP candidate for St. Peter Colin Jordan at his party's national meeting in Eagle Hall.


If tourism is to continue to be a major foreign exchange earner, there needs to be measures to secure that sector's financial stability.

The Barbados Labour Party's candidate for St. Philip South Indar Weir pointed to some of his party's plans to improve the foreign reserves should they be elected to government.


The Barbados Labour Party sees Thursday's general election not as a vote for power but a vote for the improvement of the country.

With the empowerment of people at the center of the party's mandate, Barbados Labour Party candidate for St. Philip West John King, is looking to the youth to take up the mantle in moving the country forward.
