All systems are go for the opening of the new campus of the Ross University School of Medicine.
The campus located at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre comprised of 15-hundred students, faculty and staff will be officially opened on Saturday evening.
Ross in a release noted that in addition to the build-out of the academic facilities, it has also completed construction for a living community for students at The Villages at Coverley.
The university with the help of the Barbados government also established a bussing cooperative with local transportation business owners to transfer students between Coverley and the campus.
To date, the construction projects have provided work for over a thousand Barbadians.
The annual economic impact of the Ross University in Barbados is estimated to be between 55 to 60 million US dollars.
