The board of the Grantley Adams International Airport has been put on notice by the Minister of International Transport, over the alleged mistreatment of staff.
Minister Kerrie Symmonds says tourism will fail unless the aviation sector performs efficiently.
But that cannot happen if staff continue to feel alienated.
Minister Symmonds was speaking during a Church Service to mark the 80th anniversary of civil aviation in Barbados.
During the service, several stalwarts were recognised for their contributions to the aviation sector.
The minister also addressed rumours that some staff members are being victimised, after voicing concerns to himself and the prime minister.
