Residents and businesses in parts of st. michael and christ church are being told to expect some disruption in their water service.

The Barbados Water Authority says it will be changing a well pump at its Belle pumping station on Saturday.

As a consequence both parishes are expected to experience low water pressure and outages.

Areas in St Michael include Neils, Constant, Mount Friendship, Belmont, Mapp Hill, Fort George, Belleville, Waterford, Bush hall, Spooner's Hill, Cave Hill, Constitution Road, Bay View, Brittons Hill and surrounding districts.

The BWA says affected areas in Christ Church include Hastings, Rendezvous, Marine Gardens, Navy Gardens, Graeme Hall, Top Rock, Oistins and surrounding districts.

Customers are told to store an adequate supply of water for the duration of the shutdown.
