A Member of Parliament is questioning why young people seem reluctant to join the Royal Barbados Police Force.
Government is currently carrying out an extensive media campaign encouraging people to apply to become police officers.
But M.P. for St. George North Gline Clarke, who was speaking during a BLP branch meeting, says the youth seem to be shying away from joining the force.
Commenting on issues within his constituency, Mr. Clarke says a number of houses of especially elderly residents remain in disrepair.
He says money has already been approved to repair three to four of these homes this year.
