Barbadian Rasheem Griffith was the 2nd-fastest qualifier in the men's 400 metre hurdles at the IAAF World Under-20 track and field championship in Tampere Finland.
Griffith was clocked at a season's best time of 52.02 seconds, as he won heat 3.
Also advancing to Friday's semifinals in that event was Nathan Fergusson.
Fergusson was 16th overall in a personal best time of 52.02 seconds, as he finished 5th in heat #4.
In the men's 200 metres, Matthew Clarke didn't advance to the semis after only finishing 23rd overall.
Clarke was 6th in heat #3 in a time of 21.35 seconds.
Meanwhile, Jonathen Jones will run his men's 400 metres semifinal shortly, at around 20 minutes to one Barbados time.
Wednesday, Jones was the fastest qualifier going into the semis.
He ran a personal best of 46.05 seconds.
