One local secondary school is striving to give students a new outlet for their creativity, and as an added bonus, they're shedding light on dealing with grief.

The Theatre and Film Club of the St. Leonard's Boys School has produced its first feature film entitled 'After the Loss' focusing on the effects of the death of a loved one on the youth.

Reading specialist and theatre and film club co-ordinator Dr. Glovina Springer says the club's focus is not only to highlight issues, but to provide young people with an alternative and viable option in school and in their future careers.

Dr. Springer says one of their goals is to assist students in need by offering scholarships for film and videography studies, and appealed to businesses in Barbados to lend a hand.
