If the new Minister of Information and Broadcasting has her way, Barbadians will see an increase in the number of local programmes shown on the CBC's channel 8.
Senator Lucille Moe made the comments as she toured CBC Tuesday.
The Minister was joined by director of public affairs in the Prime Minister's Office, Pat Parris, permanent secretary in the Ministry of Broadcasting, Cheryl Alleyne and Chief Information Officer, Sharon Lynch.
During the tour which Senator Moe described as informative, she took the opportunity to greet several of the corporation's employees.
The Senator says she's aware of the challenges facing the Corporation and assured employees that she would do her best to try and improve the circumstances under which they work.
Senator Moe also offered several suggestions, one of which related to utilising some of the material from CBC's extensive archive library.
