103 new COVID-19 cases recorded

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 103 new COVID-19 cases (42 males and 61 females) from the 938 tests conducted on Monday, March 21st.

Of the positive cases, 16 are people under the age of 18, and 87 are 18 years and older.

There were 47 people in isolation facilities, while 860 were in home isolation.

As at March 21st, a total of 329 people had died from the virus.

The public health laboratory has carried out 604,589 tests since February 2020, and recorded 57,903 COVID-19 cases (26,841 males and 31,062 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 160,809 (70.4 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated individuals is 150,699 (55.6 per cent of the total population or 66 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
