Minister in the Office of the Attorney General with Responsibility For Crime Prevention Corey Lane is cautioning Barbadians against seeking vigilante justice.
He was speaking to CBC News following an incident earlier this week in which a man was chased and beaten to death after attempting to flee the scene of an accident.
Mr. Lane says there can be no place for vigilantism, as Barbados is a place of law, order and justice.
He added that under his remit they are looking to scale up social media monitoring to get ahead of certain situations.
