There’s been a call for an increase in small chicken farmers, to help the country meet the high demand for poultry products.
The call from Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security Indar Weir as he delivered the feature address at the Barbados Agricultural Society’s Annual General Assembly at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
He adds the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation has been tasked with the responsibility to help small poultry farmers get their products on the market.
