October 11, 2024

Australia remain undefeated at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, after today’s demolition job on Pakistan.

Opting to field first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Australia Women dismissed Pakistan Women for 82 in 19.5 Overs.

Ashleigh Gardner took 4 for 21 while Megan Schutt took 1 for 7 to become the highest wicket-taker in Women’s T20 Internationals with 144 wickets, going past Pakistan’s Nida Dar’s 143.

The Aussie Women replied with 83 for one from 11 overs to win by nine wickets.

Australia Women continue to lead group ‘A’ on six points, while Pakistan Women are virtually eliminated, as they only have two points with one game to play.

In tomorrow’s matches, South Africa Women can take the lead of group ‘B’ away from the West Indies with a win over Bangladesh women.

That game is at 10 a.m.

Before that at 6 a.m, New Zealand Women can move into 2nd place in group ‘A’ with a big win over Sri Lanka Women.

Both matches will be live on MCTV’s ESPN Channel 308.
