Passion for fight against cancer grows every year

The passion for the fight against cancer grows every year and this is evident through the support extended to causes, including the recently held CIBC’s Walk for the Cure.

On Sunday, Barbadians braved the elements for the Caribbean’s biggest fundraising walk in aid of the breast screening programme of the Barbados Cancer Society.

CIBC’s Walk for the Cure Manager Samantha Suttle extended gratitude to all sponsors, supporters and volunteers for a successful event.

She says over 50 sponsors were onboard this year.

Among other activities for Breast Cancer Awareness Month is Pink Ribbon Week.

Coordinator, Betty Lynch says it gets underway on October 20 with a church service at the Hawthorn Memorial Church.
