Former West Indies Women’s fast bowler Shakera Selman says the 2016 champions are currently sitting in a decent position in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup standings.
The Windies have won one and lost one so far in the World Cup, but with only two teams qualifying for the semi-finals, Selman believes the regional ladies must take it one game at a time on their quest for a second title.
Knowing how the group is stacked Selman contends Thursday’s match against Bangladesh is a must-win.
Selman also believes a lot rests on the shoulders of the batters to put up a solid total, especially given the type of spin bowling Bangladesh will bring to the match.
