Barbados has signalled its support for the One Health approach which aims to sustainably balance and optimise the health of people, animals and ecosystems.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. The Most Honourable Kenneth George says the island has already commenced training of appropriate personnel.
The island has also requested assistance to provide further additional technical support.
Dr. George was taking part in the 76th Session of the Regional Committee of the World Health Organisation for the Americas.
