Classes continue at Deighton Griffith School

Classes at the Deighton Griffith School are continuing today, Wednesday, October 2.

Word of this from the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training in a press release, which came after “an early morning incident”.

Stressing that “the school is not on lockdown,” the Ministry assured, “business continues uninterrupted”.

The full statement from the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training follows:

“Classes are ongoing at the Deighton Griffith School, and the school is settled after an early morning incident.
“A student attempted to gain access to a sharp object but fortunately, the implement was retrieved. The police were called to the school and are investigating the matter. Officials from the ministry are also present. The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training is awaiting a full report on the matter from the Principal.
“Contrary to a social media post, the school is not on lockdown and school business continues uninterrupted.”
