PM Mottley calls for global reset on peace

In light of the ongoing wars and their impact, Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has called for a global reset on peace.

Addressing the UN General Assembly, she says the silence on the war in Sudan is unacceptable and she also called attention to conflicts in Myanmar, Ukraine and Israel’s war in Palestine, which has now spread to Lebanon.

She says these conflicts are but the tip of an iceberg of death, violence and instability robbing the global community of resources.

Ms. Mottley says the root causes of these wars must be addressed.

She welcomed the inclusion of Palestine at the UN General Assembly and called for the country’s full integration into the international community.
