There’s a view Barbadians need to change their mindset about what deaf people can achieve.
According to Sign Language Interpreter, Bonnie Leonce worldwide there are deaf people in several professions.
Her comments come as focus is placed on bringing visibility to and awareness of the communication needs of members of the community during Deaf Awareness Month.
Ms. Leonce says deaf people in the Caribbean can achieve greatness.
