Eden Lodge Primary reopening on Wednesday

September 17, 2024

The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training noted in a press release that the Eden Lodge Primary School was closed at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 16, to allow for industrial cleaning of the plant.

This is after dust and sediment were found to have settled on surfaces after remedial works were carried out in preparation for the opening of the school. After the cleaning, there will be a thorough inspection for readiness before the school reopens on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

Teachers will be allowed into their classrooms on Tuesday, September 17, to be able to set up their students as they wish.  While a few outstanding repairs on the compound are being addressed, there is nothing that will prevent the smooth operation of classes.

There will be a fuller statement on this issue to come in due course.

The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training apologised for the disruption and stated that it looks forward to welcoming back students, teachers and staff on Wednesday, and thanked parents for their understanding as they work to ensure a safe and sanitized environment for the children.
