Barbados will now have to look to tomorrow’s doubles match to gain an advantage over their Pakistan opponents in the Davis Cup Tennis Group II playoff at the Tennis Center in Wildey after both teams gained wins in today’s singles matches.
Barbados number one seed Darian King started things off with a 6-3, 6-love win over Muhammad Shoaib.
In the 2nd singles rubber of the day, Barbadian Kaipo Marshall lost a hard-fought match to Aqeel Khan 6-3, 1-6, 4-6.
Attention now switches to the doubles tomorrow at 10:30 followed by the reverse singles.
