Family and friends gathered at the Lyndhurst Funeral Home to view the body of renowned Women’s Rights Advocate and former Parliamentarian Dame Maizie Barker-Welch.
Some quietly wept, while others comforted each other, as they spent quality time in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel reflecting on the life of Dame Maizie who will be accorded an official funeral tomorrow.
The viewing was held between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The Service of Thanksgiving for her life will be held at the Abundant Life Assembly in Bank Hall, at 1 p.m. with tributes beginning at 12:15 p.m.
The burial will take place at Clifton Hill Moravian Church in St. Thomas.
