Update on Business Barbados provided

Work on legislation to establish Business Barbados has been completed.

The update from Minister of Energy and Business Development Senator Lisa Cummins, who says the initiative announced by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley in this year’s budgetary proposals will be launched by October.

2024, Minister Cummins said the legislation designed to improve business facilitation in the country is still in the consultation phase.

Ms. Cummins made the comments at the launch of Global Business Week.

She says it is no secret doing business in Barbados can sometimes create a headache for individuals.
