August 28, 2024

The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Water Authority has resigned.

Keithroy Halliday, who led the Government agency for the past eight years, informed staff today through a memo that after considerable reflection he had made what he is calling a difficult decision to leave the Authority.

He says he is pursuing a new opportunity that presented itself and aligns with his personal and professional goals.

Mr. Halliday, who served as General Manager of the BWA before being appointed Acting CEO, thanked the staff for their unwavering dedication, relentless effort, and support throughout his time with the Authority.

He further notes the BWA is now on the cusp of a welcomed transformation phase and in the coming months he will work with all teams, management, the union, and the Board of Directors to facilitate a seamless transition towards supporting the appointment of a new CEO.
