Close to 500 families have benefitted from much needed assistance with back to school supplies, just in time for the new school term.
It comes through the Eden Lodge Youth Charitable Trust, which has provided help in acquiring school books, uniforms, bags and shoes and the paying of petty fees for secondary school children.
President and Chief Executive Officer, Dwayne Grazette says over 494 children have been assisted.
He says these families face different challenges.
The budget for the Trust’s back to school programme is around 400 thousand dollars.
Mr. Grazette says the initiative is important as he urged continued investments in young Barbadians.
2024 marks 30 years for the Eden Lodge Charitable Trust’s back to school programme.
Public Relations Officer, Billie June-Langdon says thousands of families have received assistance over those years.
