A teenager who was injured in a shooting incident last week has succumbed to his injuries.
The Barbados Police Service is conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the unnatural death of 17-year-old Takori Wilkinson, of Princess Royal Avenue, Pinelands, St. Michael. Wilkinson was shot sometime between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
The Service noted in a press release that, “on Tuesday 13th August 2024, police from the District ‘A’ Police Station responded to Meadow Road, Wildey Road, St. Michael, where there was an initial report of a man being shot at that location. On arrival of the Police, they learnt that the victim at the time, was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private motor car and was a patient there in critical condition for the past week. He subsequently died.
“Anyone who has any information surrounding the circumstances of this incident is asked to please contact the District ‘A’ Police station at 430-7242 or 430-7246, Police emergency at 211 should you have any information pertaining to the identity of this man or the circumstances surrounding his death.
“All information received will be strictly confidential.”
