Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey says financial exploitation of the elderly is on the increase.
He was speaking as the Lower House considered a Resolution to take note of the 2023 to 2028 National Policy on Ageing.
Mr. Humphrey also shared the findings of a Situational Analysis, which identifies a number of strengths and weaknesses.
The weaknesses include an inadequate supply of home and community care services for the elderly.
