An appeal is going out to partygoers enjoying the last lap of the 2024 Crop Over season to do what is necessary to protect the elderly from contracting COVID-19 amidst a spike in cases.
Director of Clinical and Diagnostic Services at the QEH, Dr. the Most Honourable Corey Forde, says while health authorities are monitoring an increase in cases, the four people who recently died from the disease are all elderly people.
He made the appeal while speaking on the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation’s Pulse radio show.
