The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) is taking major steps to combat antimicrobial resistance, one of the top global public health threats.
That’s according to Director of Clinical and Diagnostic Services at the QEH, Dr. the Most Honourable Corey Forde.
He says the hospital has launched an Antimicrobial Stewardship Team to look into how the country uses antibiotics.
Dr. Forde spoke about the healthcare concern which is being treated as a top priority by the Prime Minister’s Office, when he appeared on the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation’s Pulse radio show.
