The Heart and Stroke Foundation says efforts must be made to secure the next generation as Barbados and the region has a problem with non-communicable diseases.
The foundation has introduced several programmes geared towards assisting in the fight, including the push for front-of-packaging warning labels.
Programme Manager, Childhood Obesity Prevention Programme, Francine Charles, speaking on Mornin’ Barbados, says there’s been a focus globally on protecting children.
Ms. Charles says support from stakeholders is critical.
